What do you think that make differences between peoples? Just religion or maybe traditions too? Education? Do you think that character of a person is dictated by his religion? How much we can , understand each others if we have different religion? Have a human caring, feelings, education , to do with religions?

i'd like to make a simple comment, please. i think religious teachings teaches us all teaches to be a good, caring and compassionate person all in one. characters are formed via education and the people surrounding said person. i hope you agree with it. ann

Hi, Ice! The more I look into the religions of the world, the more alike I see they are. There ARE minor differences, but they really are minor. Unfortunately, there's a group of hateful zealots who blame their horrid deeds on their religions, but they choose to make things that way. I have many Muslim friends, and I am Jewish. Our religions are very much alike, all based on sharing love, education, and love of God. Each stresses harmony in the world, and service to others. Then, if you look at Christianity, it's very much like both of those, and so are the Eastern religions and the aboriginal religions, and even the Pagan religions.

So right! We really are all brothers and sisters, trying to learn how to support our Mother (Nature).

All of these are just part of the whole package. A muslim is very different from a christian, as is an American from an African, or a professor from a highschool graduate or an orthodox jew from an atheist. The borders are very slowly, but surely beginning to merge in this age of internet with facebook and twitter and the like. Time will tell where we will end.

Muslims aren't that different. The truth is more depends on the country in which a muslim was raised. Different cultures color Islam differently. Islam is structured so that cultural norms are easily absorbed into the status quo of any concentrated population. American born people raised or converted into Islam have a different approach to life than one born and raised in Sarejevo verses some one from Pakistan verses a muslim person in Indonesia. It is the prayer, the regulations of dress, and the regulations on meat and what is halal when it comes to eating it that tie all Muslims together in a common bond. There are good muslims and bad ones just like christians and jews. It is more about the non-education of the western world and the lack of sensitivity to the root of a culture that originates from the premise that religion came before man. That God laid down the laws of the universe, decided in what order the substance of our world would be arranged and in what time. After that then God made sentient beings. Muslims beleive in the immaculate conception of Jesus. Muslims beleive in the all encompassing power of God and are very strict in the definition of Idolatry, which is why they don't worship Jesus, as to the muslim view it seems that Christians do. The first commandment is reiterated over and over in the Qu'ran. We all know what that is- at least I hope most of us do.

most of us here differ in culture and traditions, and yes, belief. but i dont think it is a big issue here to be friends with them. as long as all understand and respect each other, there will be no problem.

well I'm half Muslim & christian. But i prefer to follow the traditions and culture of the Christians. I think they're not totally different it's just that women have less freedom.Which is why I chose to be a christian.

There is no much difference between people of other faiths, as the individual mentality, the education that to be learned has make them much different from others. It has been seen that God with his immese-love on the humanity, has sent many messengers, they have instructed and educated the people on how well they can follow the scriptures send by the God. Then, various faiths have come-out, when some one fail to follow in the right light given by their holy scripture., another messenger has come to the world with different but unique teaching on how to become successful in this world and hereafter. who ever followed such teaching got sucessessful, got kindoms, when they forget the teachings., they become otherwise., another messessenger, Finally Holy profet Mohammad (may peace be on him)has come to this world, geven training on how to implement and prosper was given, those who implemented them got kingdoms ruled the wolrds, when they lost love of God, forgetton teaching of messessenger, world seeing result, how they become insulted before the eyes of the world. This process of teaching from the higher, proceedure of implementation, is the process of successes and otherwise. who ever got keen interest to prosper got successful results.Seasons greetings and all the best wishes. May we will be blessed to be successful in our endower
