When you pray you ask for things that you want. It seems to me that pray and spells are the same. could pray be considered a form of witchcraft?

even if praying to God... to me it seems to be the same thing. Just different intention or motives.

Well, when I pray, I don't start out with what I want. In fact, I try to ask God to change my heart so whatever He wants for me, turns into something I also desire. I want a lot of things, and I know some aren't good for me. So I start out with praise, and then I guess I go from there.

@AmbiePam: Most spells work that way as well -- transforming the self so as to bring about the circumstances one wishes to be in. The difference is whether you see the Divine as something outside yourself with which you have no inherent connection, or as something imminent in the world, which means imminent in yourself.

Witchcraft is considered evil, but praying to Jesus is not evil. I pray to God to thank Him for my good health, and for the protection and provision that He gives. Every good thing comes from Him.

@clutterbug: Maybe you consider Witchcraft evil, but many do not.
