Cat Is Too Smart

In the morning I wake up at 6 am to make my boyfriend lunch and send him to work, once he leaves I usually want to sleep some more, but my cat doesn't think I should. He jumps in bed with me and asks to be petted. I sometimes try to pretend that I'm sleeping, but it doesn't work, he puts his face right next to mine and meows till I open my eyes and pet him. The thing is that if I really sleep, he would come over look at me see that I'm sleeping and would leave... Why can't I fool him into thinking that I really am sleeping when I'm trying to go back to sleep in the morning? Have you ever ran into cat that is way too smart?

they can tell by the way you are breathing if you are really asleep or not Now, I have a rather dumb one that if he detects the least change in my breathing he'll come and finish the job by poking me in the face with a paw (and the claws are not necessarily in.)

lol that sucks... my cats stoped scratching me, well two of them stoped... i had a talk with them, no joke, after one of them scratched me i took him looked into his eyes and told him that it hurts when he scratches... i guess he told his two brother about it too... my third cat though has emotional problems, their first owner was abusive, so they were shaken up... sometimes when i pet the third cat something reminds him of the past and he tries to slap my hand so it wouldn't touch him...

My cat has decided he is my alarm clock. At least once a week, he will come up to my face in the middle of the night and start purring. This is his signal for "pet me." I'll try to ignore him and go back to sleep, but he will poke my cheek with his nose and purr even louder. Most mornings, he will bat at the vertical blinds, telling me he wants to go outside to play. I'm not sure if my cat is spoiled or just testing me to see what he can get away with!

haha my cats are chasing each other at night sometimes. we have a wall of sculls that we got from a hunted house, they jump on this wall and try to crash each other with it. very loud when it happens. then sometimes they decide to get on a book shelf and from the book shelf jump on the bed (more then 6 feet apart) they usually land on my boyfriend's legs as he sleeps closer to the book shelf.

Sounds like you have a rowdy crew of cats living with you! And I love that you have a collection of skulls from a haunted house. That sounds like something I would buy!
