Why only medicines, why not grocery/eat ables too? It is essential friend. We don't buy much things from mall/super market, my city has shops with home-delivery facilities for potential buyers, they give discount of say 5 to 10%, we place order over phone with the grocery shop and medicine shop, the stuff is deliverd at home, but i check the expiry date of medicices, edibles lol Some times things with expiry date gone comes in.. Thanks for sharing Cheers. God bless you, have a nice day ahead. Kalyani ‘Namastey’. .

I seldom check the expiry date. Maybe I should start doing that to prevent wasting more money.

Hi there, yes i always check the expiry date of medicines i buy not just medicines but also on foods. I dont want me or anyone in the family to use expired medicines so i always check it before buying. This afternoon i bought medicine for my daughter and i noticed it will be expire on december this year. My daughter's doctor said that all medicines can be use still after expiry date up to 3 months. Its good and important to know the expiry date of everthing to buy as the saying goes "prevention is better than cure" Anyway, keep on mylotting.

It is my habit to check the expiry date always as long as the item in question is to be taken into the body. Medicine surely needs more careful checking than food. The fact is that the medicines are made to degrade over time and the expiry date usually indicates that the effectiveness of the medicine has dropped below a certain level. The problem with lower effectiveness medicine is that not only they can't cure what they are supposed to but that they will make things worse by such as making the process of curing the disease longer than needed and therefore dealing more damages to the body; making the bacteria or virus immune to the medicine, etc. So, it is a MUST to check for expiry date of medicines. Way more important than food.
