Both the government and the peple should come together 2 solve is problem. Its the govt who can pass certain laws to stop eco unfriendly activities and its the people who are responsible for following out the rules and seeing that evry1 else is following tat 2 because the laws can't be of much help if there is no support 4rm the people. The govt can enforce the use of electrostatic preciptators or other purifying mechanisms in factories, use of filters in automobiles, nd most of all cutting less trees and planting more and more so as to put a check on the growing amt of CO2 in the atmosphere. In India learned people r aware of Global Warming and knows how to reduce green house effect....but how many of us actually do it??? How many of us, use different garbage bags to throw the waste? How many of us, have ever planted trees? How many of us, prefer to walk short distance rather than taking out their bikes and cars? Well if we want that all people and common man contribute than government and we citizen should work together....govt. by making laws compulsory (or fine citizen for breaking them) and citizen by spreading awareness If laws like these can be successfully enforced, then the condition could be improved a lot!

Hi, mrcupid! I can certainly sympathize. I live in Miami, and the heat has broken records every day for quite a while now. There are news advisories that tell us to stay in air conditioning unless we absolutely have to get out and about. We can't change things right this minute, but there have been some changes recorded by scientists already. We have to follow the Green movements more closely all the time. We have to reduce pollution and deforestation, and really concentrate on the rehabilitation of those areas we humans have already messed up so much. Until these measures and those bigger ones like dropping use of fossil fuels and using wind and water power can work, we need to make use of whatever personal cooling devices we can. Fans that circulate the air make it more bearable, and water splashed on the face, the wrists and the neck can help individuals. The ocean here doesn't help, because the surf temperature is hotter than most people choose for their bath water. Ice is great, too, wrapped in a towel and used as a scarf. I'm trying to stay cool, so good luck to all of us!

I think there is really nothing we can do to overturn the global warming we are experiencing right now. What we can do is to help stop it from making worse. We need to have a conscious effort in segregating our wastes. Clean our automobiles so as it does not emit too much carbon dioxide. Everything will have to be a conscious effort of not just one individual but the whole world.

Here in the U.S. we have had way too much rain, while India for instance is in a drought. From what I've heard on radio talk shows, is that the earth goes through different cycles, and this particular cycle is not so good. I don't think there is very much that man can do to make a difference or to stop the changes in climate, but it just has to play itself out. We can try, but we as people are so small compared with the big universe.
