I just bought a new 2010 Mustang GT and wanted to put some racing strips, the dealer wanted like 800 dollars for vinyl stripe. Just wonder what a fair price would be fair to have this done. i was thinking i could get this done for around 400 dollars some where else is that reasonable or not? Also wondering if anybody could tell me how they will wear and will fade ( i live in arizona so the sun and heat really takes a tole on things like this) i was also thinking i could have them painted on but i thought that would run an easy 2000 dollars, would that be worth it though?

Would be much better you get paint type instead of strip. I've yet seen any strip able to stay long from fade and for wear it's hard thing to happen. But, once faded really an eyesore to pan at it. Better you look for extra money and get it paint.

Do you live near any technical school which provides their student in this kind of vocational car body painting course? If you found any, better you give them your idea for how your drawing and painting through CAD and the finishing looks like. Much cheaper on painting, as well.
