I don't really understand your question; but English is my first language and so it's easy for me to just use any kind of vocabulary that I've learned over the years. Most of my vocabulary is casual, though, if that helps at all. I think the best way for you to "enhance" your vocabulary is to keep practicing and reading a lot of the discussions on myLot, here, and also to try to learn new words. Try learning and using 2 new words per week. This is what I was doing in Japanese class, when I was learning it in high school. We would be introduced 7 new Kanji's and would have to learn about 15 compound words per week; and trying to use them in everyday conversation. Good luck to you!

The truth is, we don't really bother to count our active vocabulary. We just use them. What you need to do is to activate your passive vocabulary by using them more often in conversations and in writing. That, of course, requires practise. Over time, with consistent use of those words, your active vocabulary increases too. It's good to have a notepad and a pen with you all the time so that each time you come across a new word, you jot it down, look for the meaning, and try use them in daily life. I hope this helps.
