What are your goals?

Everyone has different goals and some may be big or small. Some people probably have big goals and small goals. I was just wondering what everyone's goals were? I think it is important to have goals but not to pressure yourself to get them all accomplished. I think it is important for everyone to find a balance between getting goals accomplished, and having time for yourself to relax. Sometimes we get too caught up in getting our goals accomplished and all of the stress in the world. Sometimes we need to just relax and not worry about everything so much, but we should still have goals. So my big goals: Graduate College Eventually move out of my mother's house Get a good job My small goals: Make more money online Keep the house more clean Learn to really relax and take better care of myself So what are your goals?

This is a very good discussion! It is always best to list goals for yourself. I started doing this when I turned 18. What I did was list the KEY AREAS of my life. List them according to my priority and set goals for each area. I revise these areas every now and then depending on what stage/phase of my life I am at the moment. I may not able to update you of my goals since day 1, but at this stage of my life right now? here's how my list looks like: 1. Self-Confidence - this is what holds me back to resign my job and pursue writing/web design as a career. 2. Health and Beauty - i have been working on my weight loss goals since March, 2009. So far I'm seeing results but needs to lose 15lbs more. Regarding my appearance, been taking care of my skin, nails and hair ever since. needs maintenance for this. 3. Family - i have siblings to look for. a portion of my salary goes to them every month. as long as my youngest brother is studying he will have my financial support. 3. Finances - eliminate ALL forms of debts. i am almost done with this. right now i am looking for ways to make more money and set aside more savings and finally achieve FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE. 4. Love life - keep my love life healthy and blooming 5. Career - i need to sharpen my writing skills as it needs overhaul. i am also interested in website development and all about Internet stuffs. been looking for ways to establish an online cash flow. so there you go... i always keep a record of my goals in my diary or on my mobile phone. my version is more detailed though. :) i commit myself to it everyday. good luck to all of us! happy mylotting!

Thank you! I think you have wonderful goals! I recently started writing down some things such as goals in a notebook but it has other thins written in it as well. I think I might get one notebook and keep a list of my goals, possibly with a few other things. I think this is a good idea, just don't get too overwhelmed with it and not to have too high expectations. I want to applaud you on your weight loss! I have been struggling with my weight for about two years now. I know that it is really hard to loose weight and you should really feel proud of yourself! You have kind of encouraged me to get a little more serious about some of my goals. I know that I am already serious with some of them but not all of them. so you have encouraged me to get serious about the other goals. I am going to write down my goals and work on them more. Good Luck to you!!!

hi.. thanks for the reminder, I do appreciate it. Maybe sometimes I'm pushing myself too hard, and advice like this is really much needed. I have a friend who has a mirror with a printed words on it: "Be kind to yourself". That was almost 4 years ago. And it is still in my memory. Whenever I feel overwhelmed with my goals, I pat my back and remind myself to slow down and smell the flowers. anyway, I'm still young! and praying that we will be able to reach our goals. I'm just here if you need a friend. :)

Your goals are great. I admire you for wanting to complete your education and move on with your life. It will all fall into place in time. Getting a job might be more difficult right now because of the economy but again, it will all fall into place. I am older now so my goals are somewhat limited. I do work part time away from home and want to continue to work, health permitting. Also want to spend as much time as possible with our grandkids. Spend more time this winter working on craft projects. I do have a lot of free time and this is great. If I had good sense, I'd return to college, get a degree and use it. But it's really not on my list of things to do in the future. The brain capacity decreases with age which makes it harder to remember things..lol Good luck with your future, carolbee

Thank you. Right now I am just focusing on my college courses and trying to keep good grades. Also trying not to stress out about the money. I think it is great that you are trying to spend more time with your grandkids. I think we all need to spend more time with family. Good luck to you also!

after so many days I found a very good topic for discussions . actually we should have goals then only we will be successful in life or else we will be moving in any direction worth less. by the way my big goal is to 1- make a diary plant(Milk product) with in next 3 year. 2-to visit the whole world . I have so many small goals I want to make some more money on line then I will have a beautiful girl friend and I will have a small car

Your first goal is unique, and I wish you luck with that. I really like your second goal. I would like to visit the world. I haven't been to many places at all. I am suppose to be going to Florida in about a year and a half to see my best friend. I am excited to see her, and to go to Florida. I live in Virginia. Basically the only places I have been are North Carolina and Virginia. I have other small goals as well. I need a car as well.

You're absolutely right, you shouldn't let it bother you, all good things take some time. Patience is a virtue... definitely! I have lots of goals which I have started seriously working towards about 12 months ago. Some of my smaller goals such as getting my driving license back and getting a car, sorting out my house, etc have been achieved. Other long term goals include setting up about three different business that could possibly work in conjunction with each other. One of these has already been launched and seems to be growing rapidly and I wouldn't have been able to do any of it without patience, dedication and hard work. Just make sure you're clear on what you really want. Once you know what it is you want you can get everything into focus and start working on making it a reality.

Hey, Well I don't really have many goals at the moment, except to try and start College whenever I can. But firstly I have to try and find a job or do something so I can fund my College really easily instead of struggle. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Right now my #1 goal is to have a healthy baby boy (I'm due in November, so that's something I have to focus on). I'm also looking for a new job. One where I don't have to stand on my feet all day. I have a bad foot, and a bad leg, and standing and walking 8 to 10 hours a day is killing me. I would like a job where I can sit, preferably one where I can work from home.

Congratulations! My cousin had a baby about 6 months ago. It kind of sounds like you are in the same shape as my mother. There is nothing wrong with her foot or leg, but she is on her feet all day as well. I know she would like a sitting down job a lot better than her retail job.

Right now, I just want to start saving up again. I'm tired of having to wait payday after payday. Seeing my subordinates to seem to have more money than I is somewhat devastating. LOL. And then after that, I'd like to have a car, a beach resthouse, and a business. And if I have enough money saved on teh bank already. I'd like to be a writer for a newspaper or magazine then maybe study again, masteral or law school. Maybe run for local elective post.
