Do you leave milk in the bottom of the jug? Do you drink the dregs?

My husband will never drink the milk from the bottom of the milk jug. Or the dregs from any beverage, for that matter. He will put it back in the fridge and open another one. He doesn't eat the last part of just about anything, and it irritates the heck out of me. First of all, I think it's wasteful. Second of all, my perception is that it's not good enough for him but he thinks it's fine for me. What's up with that? What about you? Do you finish the jug or leave it for the next person? Do you think it is smart to leave some in the jug or wasteful? Why? What would you do or say to the other person if you were in either of these positions?

hi friends i hv a different view regarding MILK, most of the children donot use to drink milk or search any sort of mischief ideas to get rid of drinking milk , but i am different , i love to drink milk three times a day, not only milk but also the milk products too, like butter, cheese, milkshakes, curd ,yoghurt ,etc. so i think u got my answer that i donot like to leave milk in the bottom of the glass or jug ...

Good for you. I like all that stuff too, and I have to stop myself from licking the bowl. LOL.

To me, usually I would finish all of the drinking. In China, you know, we kind have a custom: it would be a good fortune for you if you drink or eat all of staff in a jug/bottle/bowl/can or any container when you enjoy it. I agree with you that it's kind of waste and not good for the garbage disposal or contributing to more difficulties when cleaning. If I see someone is doing the same like your husband, usually I would not point it out. As I think it is not a big deal. But to my familiy members or quite aquitances, I may let them continue and finish. So, my suggestion to you is that take it easy and make a communication with your husband as you can.

I don't get what is with your husband. There is nothing wrong with drinking the last bit in the jug, it is just like the rest of the milk. I drink the last of it. Leaving it is just wasteful and a waste of money.

Thank you for posting this, as I thought I was the only one who does this. I leave dregs also, it's weird I know, but I guess I think it is contaminated. As if something may have floated to the bottom. I am different in that I don't leave it behind for my hubby to use, but I put it down the drain - it's not very much though, maybe one-fourth of a cup. I would never think to leave it for someone else.... This is a therapeudic discussion for me. Thanks much.

Glad I could help. LOL. I'm glad you pour the dregs down the drain rather than leaving them for the next guy. That's very considerate.
