Taking some of the kids to Six Flags tomorrow. Sitting here hoping it doesn't rain as I feel this will probably be the only day that I can take them for the rest of the summer. The only other day I would be able to take them is on a Sunday, and it's always so crazy on the weekends, I really try to avoid it. I haven't gone to Six Flags in almost 2 years. I used to get a season pass and go several times during the summer. But my work schedule has just been so busy that last year we weren't able to go at all. I'm a bit excited as i love the thrill rides. Well, hope with me for some sun tomorrow!

One of the ladies at work said that Six Flags was declaring chapter 13 after this year and closing. What will they do with all those theme parks and all the rides? I hope she is wrong. On the other hand, it has gotten so exorbitantly expensive to go there. I hope you guys had a great time and that it stayed dry for you. I also hope that none of the kids hurled on you! LOL

It's funny you say that about the kids. No, they didn't hurl, but they were just as wiped out at the end of the day as I was. I remember as a teen I could go from opening to close and still want to do more. Oh well, kids nowadays. As far as the parks closing, on the 6 Flags website it addresses those reports and according to it, they are not closing any of the parks next year. Here's the link to the site where it reports that they'll be open next year. http://www.sixflags.com/national/footerNav/frequentlyaskedquestions.aspx I'm glad, our park is only about 40 minutes away and the kids love it.

Six Flags is always a fun time. It's possible to still have fun even if it rains. It's all in the attitude you take to the park. Doing things together is all about making memories. Hopefully yours will be good ones. Good luck with the trip!

We did have a great time. We got some rain in the first couple of hours, but nothing to serious. All the rides were running all day. And then it happened. At about 3pm the clouds parts and the sun appeared. It turned out to be a perfect day. It was warm without being too hot, and even had a nice breeze. We went on all the big coasters and none of them had more than I'd say a 45 minute wait. I think the bad forecast scared a bunch of people away. wish I could go again this year, but I don't think my work schedule will allow it.

I hope you had a wonderful time when you were able to go to Six Flags, and that the weather was nice. We had the chance to go to Silver Wood which is the closest Theme park to us, and is in Idaho and it was a lot of Fun. The weather was very nice for us when we were there as well. Just having the chance to get away and do something Fun once in a while is worth it for sure.
