Meeting up with MyLot friends ...have you meet any of your friends?

I hold my friendships here near and dear to my heart. They all have different personalities. They all are very different and from different countries from each other. I would love to meet up with all of my friends the ones I hold close to me.
The thing is I have been making plans now for over a month to meet up with one such friend on My Lot. I have flown to her country. It helps that my husband is working their and that gives me time with him and a place to stay while I'm up there.
I hardly get to see my husband. He gets to come home every 2 to 3 months for 1 week.
So this gives me the opportunity to be with him and spend more quality time with him.
We are both going to drive over to another area to meet up with my friend. I appreciate my husband and am so glad that he is behind me on this. He knows what some of the people on My LOt mean to me and just how close I have become with them.
We are both looking forward to meeting up with my friend and her husband.
So my dear friends here, I will be gone for a couple of days to spend this time with a friend from My Lot and her husband. I will be here just for today and then be back on Monday.
I look forward to showing you some pictures and telling you about our meeting.
So, have you meet up with any of your My Lot friends? If not do you have plans to later?

I still have dreams that one day I will have the opportunity to meet at least one of my myLot friends. This weekend I'm off to Edmonton Alberta to the West Edmonton Mall and a sleep over with my daughter for our yearly mother/daughter bonding weekend!!! Looking forward to it. We leave early A.M. tomorrow and come back Sunday. Have fun I know I will.

That is where we are going. I don't think we will go to the mall though. We will be staying at the Varscona on Whyte Street. They are blocking off 2 blocks of the street and having I believe it's an art show.
Too bad it's a mother daughter weekend, you could meet up with us too.
We are leaving as soon as the hubby comes in from work between 7 to 8pm. That will put us at the hotel between midnight and 1am.
We will be there until sometime Sunday.
I know you will have a great time.
We will too. I am so much looking forward to this.

I'm so sorry, I wish that I had gotten your post before we left. I fee so bad now that I dd not get to meet up with you and your daughter. I'm so sorry. Maybe next time.

wow wow wow I didn't say we had to be just Mother/daughter. We need to at least meet for a hug if nothing else. Now I'm excited as can be!!! We're going to stay at the west Ed mall because we plan to play at the casino on Saturday night. We need to exchange phone numbers. Right now my ride is here to go to the bank. I want to talk more about this. OMG dream come true!!! We don't neeed to horn in on your time either but my goodness just a few minutes even would be fabulous!!!

"technically" I have met 2 of my friends on Mylot, but I was not a member of Mylot at the time. I met these friends on Yahoo Groups. We were on one group & I was co-owner with another gal. She lives an hour south of me & I went to see her 2 times. She had too many rules & was running people off from our group, so I left & started my own group. It is a private group & there are just 4 of us on there from the previous group. The 4 of us have became the best of friends. I have met all 3 of the other ladies. One lives in Canada & I met her in January 2008 while I was in AZ to see my MIL & she was there seeing her boyfriend at the time, later to become her husband. Another gal lives in Toledo, which is 2 hours south of me, & I met her June 2008. Then this June I went to Toledo again, met up with the same gal again & the other member of our group was in the area from Maryland. We are again meeting next month in Toledo for the Toledo gal's birthday. It should be great fun!

Wow you have had a round of it have you not? I am impressed that you and others have met up and I kind of envy your luck. I'd love to meet up with a few more of my friends.
It sounds like you all are very close and yes, I do believe you all will have a great time for the birthday in Toledo.

No, I haven't really gotten to know my Mylot friends that closely. I enjoy posting here and will always add those individuals who wish to be added to my list. Alas I have no plans to meet. Maybe if there are local community boards I can plan to get together. I will have to see if they have those boards.

Hello dear, and welcome to My Lot. You have plenty of time to get to know the people here. One day you will getto meet someone that is close toyou or perhaps you will travel to an area that one of your friends happens to live in or near by.

Thank you mc, I know that it was a long trip for me. It really wore me out. I'm still having to rest from it. At least I did not have to drive the distance and we did have a hotel room to go to for rest while we were all there.
It was a nice visit.

Wow ... happy to hear your story, can be met with a friend in myLot.
Unfortunately I have not met with my friends on myLot. But I believe in a moment I will be able to meet with some of them, starting from a country friend.

It has been a long wait for me to get to meet up with any of my closest friends. This has actually been in the making for a few months. But it is so hard to work around 4 peoples schedules. Mine and hers is not that hard but our husbands they work in a business that they have to travel all of the time.
So this has been a bit taxing trying to get it all together, but it is well worth it. I am so excited.
You will get to meet up with your friends. Just keep trying and it will come together when it can.

I have not met with any of my myLot friends. Should I say, I am not as fortunate as you are ! Ha ha ! It is so wonderful to hear your story. That is excellent. That is the world myLot has created for all myLotters around the world.

Thank you. We had a great time. We went out to eat a few tims and walked the art walk that happened to be on the main road outside of our hotel. We all had a nice time.

Hi Moondancer, I really do hope you manage to get to a doctors and get sorted so you can still meet up as I have just responded to your other discussion. Get immediate help. Onto this one though I have been blessed to have met up with four different myLot friends now, three wonderful ladies and of course every ladies frien P1key the darling. Thank you ellie. I posted this before I saw that I had a problem. Sparks has already left with her husband they will already be there waiting. My husband has yet to come in from work. As soon as he gets in we are suppose to leave to go to Edmonton. I was hoping to get the weekend out of the way and then see what I can do about this problem. As this weekend has been planned for months. It's very hard getting the guys to get time off from work to do this for us. I'd hate to have them go there and be waiting on us and then we don't show.
If I don't get any worse I will hold out until the weekend is over. I'll play it by ear, so to speak.

Oh I am so happy for you. Many you have a wonderful tvisit. This is such a good idea. It s amazing how close we can become to our friends and we get sad with them and rejoice with them and share so many experiences with them. It really is a wonderful network. I am close to many friends but have not yet met them. I have linked up with one young friend on this Island so we may meet some day. She is going to university so we are wondering if my daughter will be teaching her!! wouldn't that be something? We will miss you and look forward to hearing about your trip. Many blessings.

You never know what the future has in store. I am so glad to get to meet at least one of my friends. I have waited for a long time to do this. It also took sometime to put together, since she lives here in Canada and I live in The US in Tennessee.
One day you will meet up with someone if that is what you wish to do.
Maybe your daughter will have your friend in her class. That would be something would it not?
