I do not like sprouts and neither do my children. My husband loves sprouts and he always masters putting them on everyones plate when i ask him to dish the dinner up.I have told the children that they are more like mini cabbages thinking they may eat them as they do like cabbage, they taste yuk they said. How many of you eat them?

Hi Jugs......I don't dislike them they are just not one of my favorites. I don't make then often as I am the only one in my family that likes them, but I do get a taste for them ever so often and I will buy some frozen ones and make them for myself. flutterby

I don't mind sprouts - I either boil or lightly fry them with garlic and oyster sauce. But my husband doesn't like them; he once asked me if these sprouts are 'old' (he found them tough). So we seldom eat sprouts nowadays.

We all love them...always have. When i was a kid, my dad grew them in our garden and, on Christmas Eve I'd go out and help pick them. They taste even better after a frost but shouldn't be overcooked. I cant stand parsnips though.

Hi jugjugs, I adore Brussels sprouts, I think they are my favourite vegetable. Even more suprising is that my young son loves them too. Neither of us like frozen sprouts though which we tried a couple of years ago as unsure if we'd be able to get any fresh ones for the only traditional christmas dinner we've had in Greece. Unfortuantely they are an imported vegetable which only one or two shops carry and only for a month or so so we have to wait a whole year between our vegetable treat. Maybe your children would enjoy them more if you try cooking them almost raw, nothing worse than over cooked sprouts.

Hi, jugsjugs. I love eating them. They are very delicious to eat. I did not like them at first but when I tried them, I loved eating them. I agree, they do resemble mini cabbage.

I don't particularly eat brussel sprouts. I assume those are the sprouts you are referring to since they look like little cabbages. I've tasted one and the seem okay, but are just not a staple in my diet. I do eat bean sprouts in salads and they are pretty good in asian food as well, stirfry especially. Maybe you just need a new way to eat them?
