is your boss ever satisfied with your work

however much i do slog my boss never says i have done enough. he still looks unsatisfied. i sometimes wonder are all bosses like that. even if i become a boss when the time comes, would i also behave in a similar way. what is your experience. can any one who has risen from a lower rung share their experience

No, not all bosses are like yours. But many are.
But it doesn't really matter.
As long as I do my job and am confident about what I'm doing the boss can look as unsatisfied as he/she wants, I don't really care.
WE really can't please everyone at the same time:)

thanks for your response. it is a great relief that it is a tendency in bosses to look unsatisfied. i think one has to get used to it
