Well i dont think one should lie when it comes to the job part. If you are good and talented then you definetly get the job, then why lie. If you have lied that you know how to do a perticular task, and in future you were told to do it, then you are in soup, what will you do next. I have never lied where even i went for an interview or in my resume. If i dont know something then i dont know, but if given a chance then learn it.

I have never and will never lie on a job application. That is plain cheating. If you lie about your experience or qualifications to get a job, they will find out and fire you. I'm sure they would also have grounds for suing you.
