No, Full Metal Panic is different from Full Metal Alchemist. Full Metal Panic is about a boy who grew up fighting in wars. In the present setting he is placed in a normal Japanese high school. It's comedy and action.

well if you like you can read manga of onepiece, naruto,bleach, 100% ichigo, the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, hunter x hunter and code geass. thus manga are the best! you will love it

If you're looking for anime with action: katekyo hitman reborn darker than black Fullmetal alchemist 2009 d.gray-man gintama blood+ nabari no ou (uh... kinda yaoi but very very suble... they don't do much but also very depressing) Shojo anime (that can be romance or with lots of girl characters) Kimi ni todoke to aru kagaku no railgun
