How do internet cafes work when you have a laptop? / myLot

I am getting a new laptop soon and I'm wondering how Internet cafes work. Do they use WIFI? Will I need to buy any extra equipment to access the Internet or will they just have a cord that I can plug into my computer? Thanks

Usually wireless... but as it's a courtesy service for its customers, you're usually expected to buy a drink... you may even require an access code that's given to you on purchase of a drink...
