I have fresh filets of tilapia and wanting a good recipe for them. Oh, and I would prefer to not have to grill them.

I love deep fried Tilapia... But first, you have to marinate it with soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, salt, garlic, onion, and lemon. It goes well with fresh tomatoes, too.

We have many ways how to cook tilapia here in the Philippines. You can grilled it or you can cook it with tamarind we called it here sinigang. My favorite cooked in Tilapia is paksiw it is easy to prepare what you need is vinegar, onions, garlic, ginger and salt and pepper. I like it also when you cooked it with coconut milk we called it here ginataan.

For a real quick fix, try topping the tilapia with your favorite salsa and baking until fish flakes easily with a fork. Seems like its about 20 minutes. I serve this with rice and a veggie and/or salad.

Try this Baked Tilapia! Marinate tilapia with white pepper, lemon, ginger, garlic, fish sauce or oyster sauce, salt. Combine chopped green onions, coriander, parsley and butter. Prepare your baking dish by spreading butter on sides. Transfer the marinated tilapia and marinade in the dish and top this with the butter mixture. Bake until fish flakes. Enjoy!
