Did Micheal Jackson kill himself?

I heard on the news that Micheal Jackson wanted to get out of the tour even to the point that he would try to "get sick". I think his death was on accident however he was trying to get sick in the case he was found dead. It also irks me to think why in the world did he not go to the hospital when he was having such horrible symptoms like hot on one side and very cold on the other.
