DISTRACTED DRIVING: Are you Guilty?

Are you guilty of distracted driving? Is this an annoyance or you are one who are doing this type of driving? Let see a situation like this, you are stuck in traffic and you have nothing to do with this but wait till the others cars have their way out. While waiting you grab your phone by calling your husband or your friend, or you do this following actions, such as you bites your favorite chocolate or munch your crackers, reapply your lipstick, put a make up powder, and suddenly the Green light light on to GO. You cannot start to move fast as you have to stop first what you are doing before go on with your driving. Have you encounter this as a driver or you have seen other driver do this activities while driving. Is this annoying to you or you are a good driver that remain focus on your wheel?

Never been in such situation,but i seen it happens to others like suddenly the engine stop when it's time to go.With driving we really need a lot of patience and perseverance esp when it is rush hour.So to avoid being annoyed with heavy traffic i prefer not to drive with such hours.

hi jaiho! those were the things I observe as a passenger of a private vehicle. I really notice that some driver even do multi-tasking and I think it is very risky to do it without concentrating on the right conduct when in front of the wheel.

oh,that's really bad my friend.As a passenger i guess we had the rights to complain seeing careless drivers.Like texting while driving or answering phones.We can even report such drivers to LTO office my friend.

It is really dangerous and it is likewise the cause of many road accidents aside from drunk drivers. It is really a nuisance. Careless and reckless driving doesn't seem not to care with their passengers lives is at stake. Their is really need for proper law restriction on this case.

hi,
being in delhi where every 100 meters we have a red light..I've observed for the longest time --- cell phone yakkers slowing traffic, especially in the rush hour, adding two hours on average to a one-way commute. I'm just glad that I don't need to drive in rush-hour traffic, because I see enough of those jerks during OFF-peak hours,, cell phones should never be allowed while driving no matter what the situation is.

yeah, driving while talking to a cellphone is very dangerous as it takes away the drivers attention on the road and both risky to continue such behavior as it may endangers to the lives of his passengers at stake.

Actually, I just added one discussion on driving while chatting on cell phones. Many people are doing it right now, no matter how warnings you are giving. People are still doing it. What can I say, people just won't listen to it.

I am guilty of thay sometimes too. I can't say that I am 100% concentrate on driving sometimes. I might put on some loud music sometimes too. I am absolutely guilty of that. Not all the time, but I do once in a while, I am not concentrated on the road. I did talk on the phone, or biting a hamburger while the green light tells me to go.

Those things you do are really dangerous things to do when you are in the middle of the road while driving as this kind of behavior are one of the precursor of many accidents that happen on the roads. As early as possible when one could avoid it do so. to protect your life and to those people who may be your companion...

We all want to be safe while on the road right, we can't make mistakes while driving, because it not only affect you; but you also affect the others too. So, driving carefully while you are on the road yourself.
