Did Google get rid of their ranking system [hits]?

You know when you go to search at Google, you type in PA--and all relevant topics come up automatically (paypal, papa john, patrick swayze, pa sun--suprisingly no paris hilton???) and you can see how many hits a particular topic has gotten? Well, I went to search something today and I noticed there was no hit numbers coming up beside my topics, what happened? Did Google get rid of this, have you noticed the same thing?
