This is a small shot of my red rasberry bushes I have. I must have 40 bushes or more total growing by the side of my garage etc. On advice from a friend here on myLot I cut them all back early last year. This was said to aid in propdsuction. Well it worked very well. I have so many berries coming out now. I need a recipe for making rasberrry jam and or jelly. The easier it is, the better. Do you try things out in your garden that friends from myLot suggest? Do you have sucess with those hints etc?

I remember having a lot of raspberries at my grandparents... i loved them... though my favorite jam is from black current berries... the easiest way is to mix berries with sugar and boil it...

honestly, i never measure ingredients, I just put sugar till i think it's enough... abut 2-3 table spoons for a glass of berries. mix sugar and berries pressing the berries while doing that so they give juice. after that add a little bit of water, if you add too much it's not a problem, bust boil it for longer so it will get the right consistency...

I've had two raspberries from my little patch (so far) that were ripe... a day or two, there'll be more.
But I've picked several bowls full of blackberries. Red raspberries in front of the garage, blackberries at the side.

Mmm. Raspberries are so good! I use to have them growing in the front of my house but they grew out of control and would spread like crazy. On the good side, we did have tons of raspberries to eat but it looked kind of weedy. We transplanted a bunch of them to the back of our house where they are growing but much slower then they did in the front. I guess there is less sun so it's harder for them to grow. We still have some in the front and it's a great crop this year. We had to support the plants cause there were so many berries on them.
