Like you've been friends forever!

Many of you know that Oceantiara and I met for the frist time last thursday. I was in New York visiting my daughter and her family when we arranged to meet! I went to her house for tea and cucumber sandwiches! They were awesome. The one thing that really struck me though...was that when we met, it was like we had known each other forever! We knew enough about each other to sit and chat while drinking tea, catching up on things and yes....we discussed a few of you too! Good things though..just keep that in mind. But our meeting was like we were old, not new friends! Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like they were an old friend, not a new one?

I have felt real comfortable but not lke we were friends before.My first day of history class back in my Junior year ,Iwasfinishing the teacher's sentences.it was weird.

Well you are old Friends Jill as you have known each other for a while now, just because it is online does not mean that you are new Friends when you meet of course it isn't, it counts just as much, I think I know more about my online Friends then I do offline, because we trust our Friends on here, we share a lot on here, we always know that our Friends are here for us
Yes I have to answer your Question, I am hoping to meet more and I know it will be like I have known them forever, even though in Person I am quite shy lol but get over it rather quick

Its fun getting to meet mylotters. Speaking of we are having a huge all day BBQ at our house on Sunday July 26th we would love it if you could make it. We decided since our Bdays and anniversary are all together we might as well celebrate them this year. If you can make it let me know ill email you the address.

Of course I understand my kids are just to awesome to resist lol. This is mine and the hubbys day but you wouldnt beleive how many are coming for Savanna.

Hi Jil!
You are really very lucky (and Ocean too) that you could meet her at her house. I can understand it would have been a memorable meeting for both of you. I believe that when we sincerely interact on mylot, we become closer to each other and if we happen to meet in person, our feelings will remain the same for our friends. I've not had any opportunity to meet any mylotter, but I look forward to it.

That is awesome! Yeah it happened to me too, a friend online and I met and we discussed so many things like we had known each other so long. Because we discussed things that we had meant to do. It was like getting together with a friend.An old one.

Yes, I have met a few people like this. I am so glad that you got to meet and had a wonderful visit. The cucumber sandwich's sound very nice too.

Hey jill! I am so jealous that you got to meet Oceantiara!
But, I am not the least bit surprised that the two of you
hit off! You both are such wonderful people and from just
knowing the two of you I'm sure that meeting the two of you
would have been a blast! I truly wish that I could have been
there too, as I'm sure quite a few of us wish! If only we
could all get together in a room I truly believe that we
would feel so comfortable with each other just like we do here!
After all, we really connect with certain people and I can
believe that meeting them would feel like we've know each
other forever!

I was rarely meet a new friends and get closed like heart to heart instantly... But i do ever meet that kind of friend at the first time i know him... We are still very close each other because he becomes my true best friend forever and ever...
