How do you bake your potatoes?

Does that sound like a strange question but as I was washing my potatoes to get them ready to cook I was wondering how others baked their potatoes. I have baked them in the oven by wrapping in tin foil and baking but the last time i tried that I didn't think they would ever get done. I usually use the microwave. I poke holes in the potatoes and cook them in the microwave. I have read where they can be baked in the crock pot also. How do you bake your potatoes? Thanks in advance for your post and God bless you.

I poke em and lay them on the foil,(this is where it gets good) then I drizzle oil over them and shake dried minced onion over them and wrap em up. I then put them on the coals of the BBQ or in a 375 oven for 45mins. to an hour! tdemex

Here we usually cut the potatoes in slices not very thick, spread in an oven proof dish, add chopped onions and garlic. Then you garnish with salt, pepper and some also add a cube that is used for stock and many add fennel seeds but not everyone likes the taste. You add water to just cover the potatoes, cover in foil and bake in the oven. It takes a long time to get ready so some may just boil the potatoes before slicing so it takes less time. Before being ready you remove the foil so that the potatoes sort of roast and form a crust at the top. By the way you can also drizzle some oil for that to be better and more tasty.
