people searching other people's info online, isn't it creepy?

There were many websites sprouting up in the purpose of providing service to public for searching particular person's information online. You may need to pay a small fee to dig out that particular person's information. Don't you think that is invasion of privacy, and a little bit of creepy in general sense. Someone you weren't aware off, or someone wants to get your information from the net so easily. Although not all the information listed there were accurate, but still, I was offended by this type of service available to general public. What do you think?

I think it is somehow creepy. However, I am kind of guilty of this because I did look up someones profile in facebook many times just to see how a person is doing but I don't think I will pay someone just to get that person's information. However, I do not think what I did disrespected the person because it was his intention to put up a profile publicly. However, If the person does not want that information publicly and someone tries to get the information then it really is invasion of privacy. :)
