T20 Test Cricket! Do you think that is the future of Test Cricket?

Recently some former cricketers proposed T20 Test Matches. Where each team will get two innings of 20 overs each. Total 40 overs for a team for a whole match. So a test will have maximum 80 overs! What do you think about it? Do you think, it will kill the very charm of cricket with just instant hit or out type of cricket becoming the norm? Or do you think, we don't need the old Test cricket anymore? Have your valuable say! Happy Mylotting!

As they say change is the only permanent thing in this world, so sometimes even though people don't like it the change happens. As you say, lets wait and see

Well i don't think its possible.. its juse a impposible kind of thing.. and suppose if this happen.. then it will be the saddest day of cricket.. ICc can create the new games.. but can not change the test format.. they will maintain this games.. Future of Test match cricket is 5 days cricket only..

Yes, as you say, Even though T20 matches have blooming, One day games are still there. Now, how can a test match be called a test if it finishes in a day?

Test cricket is test cricket-a match for 5 days. Two innings of a T20 match can be a new format of the game and can never replace a 5 day game match. Will it make cricket more exciting? yes, if it helps your team get out of the rut that it got itself into during the first innings. I think cricket is a great game and there is room for all formats - whether 5 or 6 day test matches, 50 over matches or T20 x 1 or T20 x 2 innings, and it will make things exciting for cricket lovers on the whole and make big bucks for the players, the cricketing authorities and the game itself.

Test cricket must test the skills of the batsmen and not the power... T20 test matches could be interesting as a T20 game but wont be able to outplay test matches. If there is no test matches, Cricket will be no more be a skill based sport..

That's seemingly impossible as the real strength of a cricketer lies in his performance in a five day test match which I think should not be changed. Also, recently concluded the first test match in the ashes series proved that test cricket of five days, even if gets drawn can get more exciting!!

Hi wismay I dont think this format of t20 test cricket ll work test cricket must be minimum 5days and not end in a day and with this format of t20 test cricket a players performance cannot be judged properly..I feel normal format 90overs 5days test cricket is best forever as a batsman has a chance to play for more overs and his performance is judged clearly..I love normal format test cricket..Happy Mylotting! :)

Yes, 5 day cricket can not be replaced by anything. As they say, that's the real cricket!
