Candid Moments with Kids

I have this 4-year old nephew who was so candid and cute and was so talkative too. Whenever I am in their house, he would usually sit on my lap and told me stories about what has he been doing about in pre-school and with his classmates. One time his mother asked him, "Son tell your aunt what did you do tell your teacher when ask why are you using my surname instead of your dad's surname in writing your name?" And he candidly told me, "It's because, I have been writing dad's surname since classes start and I haven't have the chance to write my name with mom's surname yet. It should be fair, thus from now on I will be writing my name with mom's surname instead." My sister and I laugh out loud and told the kid: "You really love your mom so much huh?" And he said: "Of course!" These are candid moments so wonderful to hear from kids and their innocence. Do you have such candid moments too with your kids?

Here's one for you. My five year old was spending a great deal of time grinning at himself in mirrors one day. I thought I'd tease him a little and asked him why he liked looking at himself so much. "I look so friendly." That he did and I had no comeback for that.

My son was also like that when he was little. He took so much time looking at his image if he does really look good and if he smile good. hahaha! :) Thanks Philbo.

Kids are so cute when they start to talk. They talk with all honesty. That is what is so nice with kids, they tell you things with no pretensions. At one time, when we are all watching tv at home. All of a sudden, my 5-year-old niece suddenly told that my father stinks. And we just started laughing when she said that. Of course , it was fun and we had a good laugh.

Hahaha! That's cute. Kids really have a way of saying things and they just wanna say it in whatever way they can. Thanks jules67. Nice experience.
