Do you bake for the holidays and why?

I start baking for christmas the first day of December. So many different things I need to make for our traditional Danish christmas. I make up gift baskets for neighbors and friends so I find myself baking up a storm with my children. I love it though it can be tiring sometimes.

I bake during the year but not like when the holidays are coming. During the year you get a batch or two. During the holidays there is enough baked goods to last til next christmas; which is why so much of it gets sent off with family and friends on christmas and at the end of our New Years Party. Otherwise we would all be really working out extensively before summer. Lol

I love to bake for the holidays. I think it makes the house smell warm and inviting.

I agree, the smells remind me of my own great grandmothers home at the holidays. So many warm memories

Bees - Busy as bees
I can understand that, there was a time when I didn't have the time either. Sometimes I am not sure I have the time now.
