Facebook notifications driving me nuts!

Is anyone else annoyed by Facebook's system of notifications? I don't know about you guys..But I get about 10 notifications per day - and about 7 of the 10 are usually Facebook alerts, about quizzes, or other apps - in other words - things I really DON'T care to be notified about. Such as "so and so.. took THIS quiz and is challenging you!". Does anyone else have these issues? Is there any way to change your settings so that you DON'T get notified for stupid things like this? And to make this a legit discussion..About how many notifications do you get per day? And how many of them are "Junk" notifications (as I like to call them)? Does it bug you, too?

Yes I'm getting fed up with the notifications to on facebook.I get about 10-20 of them a day.Wish the would stop with them.

I actually have the opposite problem... I don't get ANY notifications at all, even though I've checked my setting a million times and I'm set to get them. As it turns out though, I don't really need them because I'm on facebook a couple times a day and I see the updates as notifications and stuff on my page.

yes, i have to agree with you! i, too find these hugely annoying. i seldom will take quizes of facebook because i just dont have the time. i like facebook for keeping up with friends/relatives but thats about it.

I don't send notifications to others because I know it will bug them. I have a lot of apps on facebook so I tend to get a lot of notifications. I just read them and let them go. It is annoying but it doesn't get to me.

It did bother me at first. I just deleted them. You cannot do anything about the notifications, just delete it. But for you to delete it, you have to check on the indicated boxes because it might not work if you dont check the indicated boxes.
