How and when can you say that you are successful already?

We define success on a different level based on a person's perception.
How can you say you have achieved a certain level of success already?
Let me share you mine. I will have a sense of achievement if I will be financially independent, have a family of my own, live well but simple but acquire an asset that is 10x over than what is seen on me outside (lifestyle). Also if my mom at her old age will have a comfortable life with me as well as my two siblings. More than material things I want my loved ones to be happy and share with my happiness.
Please share your thoughts.

I'd like to say I'm successful with having the most wonderful husband and the loveliest kid ever. Monetory terms, I am indeed successful to have a roof over our head to call our own and an extra one or two for investment. But as human progresses in their life, this all might not be enough for the future, so I wont dare to say that I am successful ALREADY. I'd like to say I am successful today, but not yet tomorrow. I'll take things one day at a time and work harder to make sure that I dont stay stagnant at any one point. The only way is up! :)

You are definitely on the right track to what the real life is all about, when one is happy with their lot, comfortable within themselves then all the rest doesn't matter...we are here for a short time and we should all make the most of what we have around us..you have a nice heart, I hope it all works out for you...

The true level of success is not anywhere on this earth. Success is within you, and when you are truly happy with just the sunrise or the gentle breezes while laying on the beach at dusk, or just waking up the next day with nothing but a pure heart and faith in tomorrow. The true success is in the being of rest, and not of any commercial saying you are a success if you buy a new 2010 Caddy. These are false hopes that are not needed for inner peace, I don't have a plug nickel and my credit is so-so but still have received the tools needed for our first home. All I ever asked for is God's help, not handouts not borrowing but just the tools to accomplish whatever need I just prayed and had faith, and patients, it will come when it is God's decision not ours. People neglect to take Christianity for granted and believe they can do anything, but without God there is only uphill battles and defeat. No matter how successful you are, you will never be fulfilled to the fullest until you know Jesus. Material things can be destroyed, but anything that was created by God can not be destroyed. If man had can achieve anything by himself then why cant he create matter like God had done? When man proves to me he is a creator then I will think about my beliefs, but then again I wont change my mind, because man is a deceiver and of evil intentions.
