Hi All, As the retirement starts, there are many problems related to money management. Many avenues are present for retired person such as post office, bank Fixed deposits, stocks(High risk for retired person) and also the mutual funds. Which of these avenues or any new avenue can be best for a retired person?

I think it should be spread across many instruments like bank FDs, Mutual Funds, Stocks, and many other. For a retired man the most important thing is not to loose a single penny. Its ok if he gets less interest rates but security is important. If one takes risk and looses money, the retired man won't be able to earn the same back by working hard. Play safe!
