If you have older computer then this problem arise and yes if your motherboard allows to expand RAM(Random Access Memory) then you can upgrade it see it motherbord manual or ask it to the your hardware vendor. Like If you have 128MB then upgrade it to 256 or you have 256 then upgrade to 512 or add another 128mb ram.

Please look at your PC configuration. Is it any possibility to upgrade? Most of motherboard now, It can support or compatible on wide range of processor. Recently, I have change my CPU from Celeron to Dual Core Processor. Then Increased to maximum on RAM, as you know, Memory price is cheap now. Are you using VGA on board? Please tried to install separate VGA card. That's mostly on hardware stuff that may cost you? Just remember, Before do upgrade make sure double check on your motherboard ability. If you still have more doubt, don't do it. Maybe you can started to think buy a new PC. For other solution, you can do on software side. If you run in windows, please check on microsoft website. There is procedure to improve your windows performance. I show one of response already mention it. Like you do on clean disk, disk defragmenter and updated your windows.

I think hardware like processor need to improve its speed and system with 2 or 4 processors should be produced. Imagine using 4 of 2ghz processor that gives u 8GHZ processing speed. As for the heat they need to rethink the technology used in computers.

Depends on what you do on your computer. if you want it faster for gaming you may want to upgrade your video card and a decent enough processor for applications focus on upgrading your processor and ram.

Do not keep so many stuff in your PC, put some memory usage free always. Avoid vista and use windows XP. Regular virus scan is must.

Depending on your hardware, you may even be able to overclock your rig... Just be sure to factor in additional cooling... ^_^

Please refer the discussion given at the end, to know few hints to make your computer faster and if you feel the heat generated is more, better remove the fan clean the dust if any and if you find the fan is too noisy , you may need to change it Keep the computer and the room you are having the system clean and make sure that you are closing the system with the cloths(mainly CPU) while cleaning your room. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2058462.aspx

I prefer Third party software like CCleaner and Tuneup Utilities. If u do Disk Defegration and Disk Cleaner up in every 15 days. then your Computer will be in Very good condition. if u have less RAM then use low graphics configuration this will reduce the computer memory to used.

You can always add RAM and HD but if you are looking for other solutions, here are some: -Minimize the applications you allow to run during start up. These applications are usually the reason why it sometimes takes forever to boot your PC. -Uninstall any applications you rarely or never use. This will free up some space and can significantly make your PC run fast. -Set up a schedule for your antivirus and other anti malware applications. Your PC will definitely become slower when these run or update so pick a time when dont have to do anything on your PC and allow them to run and update.
