Most of the time I have come across this question: Who/What created the World/Universe. I am an atheist and the fact that the evolution or big bang theory really does not require a creator the question for the people who believe otherwise is that, Who/What created the God? I am sure to find some interesting answers.

god created us... no one can create god... god is in existence for over millions and millions of years... he is the one who created the universe, space, planets, earth, water, air, life etc, etc... being an atheist, you may consider these explanations stupid, however i feel god exists...

Being an atheist.. nope... being a thinker does make this answer not so gullible. What you have is i call a "Blind" faith! Don't you think you are bending your thoughts to reach an answer that satisfies your beliefs?

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." As the evidence of things not seen, one might say that faith is blind, yet faith has substance. When faith is based on an immutable truth, then it has more substance than anything you can see with your eyes. In fact, your eyes can lie to you. Ever checked out optical illusions. Atheism requires faith too, as long as one cannot possess all knowledge and all evidence of all things, one must accept all possible solutions to the question. To have all knowledge of all things past and present, all evidence of all of the universe - this is not possible. It is possible that we know many things about the origins of the universe and our Earth and life upon it. But we do not know all, and without all knowledge we cannot firmly rule out the possibility of God. You cannot exclude that possibility, you can only have faith that your assumption is correct based on the knowledge that you possess.

"Faith means not wanting to know what is true." – Friedrich Nietzsche We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes. – Gene Roddenberry Calling Atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair color. – Don Hirschberg

Where did the stuff that went Bang! come from? I think you need to answer that first. Obviously, the materials that were transformed by the Big Bang had to be there before it occurred, so where did they come from? I know God, so I know that He created the Universe, which began with the stuff that went Bang! I know that God's word says He lives in everlasting (the word "owlam") which means He is outside of Time. Time is a function of the physical universe, so God is much greater than the universe and is not constricted by it. Everlasting also means without beginning or end. God didn't just come about one day. These concepts are difficult for finite minds that are trained to think in linear time, but time means nothing to God. It exists only for us. God had no creator, He is the Creator.

Thanks for your response, but hey! I guess you did not get the entire message, what i meant is if God does not require a creator, what would make you think that Evolution needs a creator? You know God, Great! Can you ask God why so many innocent people are killed every day and why so many women are being raped and why did he create people who are insane and who kill people for their selfish motives and why did he not stop world from creating so many Religions.....

What about the person being raped or murdered? .... I do not think it was his/her freewill. Here a freewill is for the people who rape or murder or do pathetic things to fellow human beings, and thus these rapists and murderers were created by God and thus as they were created by God they should not be punished as they are just following the freewill granted by your God. Correct! There are lots of crazy maniacs in the world so by what you say, they should be let free, as it would be against their Freewill and Law should not exist. If god were to be as Powerful, just full and trustworthy as you say, do you not think he should be able to differentiate between the evil thoughts and good thoughts and by doing that he can stop those with evil thoughts by changing their thoughts. If the good thoughts and evil thoughts are to be treated equally than what is the difference?

Also, Freewill cannot be the same for billions of people living in the world at a same time and thus there will always be a conflict of will and interest amongst human beings. Infact, freewill without a purpose or righteousness, with so many things to do is one of the reason for all the evil in the world.

Hello,=) I think you should read the "Bible". That will answer your questions, Everything in the Bible is not always good, there are some stories there too that are unfortunate Like Dinah, Abraham's grand daughter was raped, and Jesus, the ONLY son of GOD crucified. I think, God allow things to happen because He wanted us realize things, like there is nothing permanent in this world and what we do in this world is with purpose. For your question what created GOD, in the book of Revelations, God says, "I am Alpha and Omega", meaning, that that GOD remains from the beginning, till the end of time. So nobody created God. This passage is interesting, in Matthew 7:13-14 in the Bible, it says Enter through a narrow gate, for wide is the gate that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only few find it. God Bless.=)

From what you have written, I can easily make out that you have not even tried to know what other religions preach, so unless you know what other religions say you can or should not believe that whatever you know is the ultimate truth. Correct! Every religion on earth today preaches some or the other form of myth. The Christians follow bible, The Muslims follow Koran, The Hindus follow Vedas, The Sikh follow Guru Granth Sahib, The Jews follow the torah, The Parsis follow Zoroastrianism and many others. Every religion preaches some kind of theism, some preach monotheism and some polytheism and some others. You believe in your religion and your God and your traditions. It is more like an arrange marraige in some countries, where parents decide what or who is best for their kids and eventually end up marrying a person thinking that he or she is the best match for you.
