I can't help it but to fall asleep. What do you think is the reason? Have you experience that? Every time I am studying my lessons I always end up sleeping. lol I don't know.. It's just that I can't help it.

probably its because u are not interested in studying.or the material u are studying is not interesting.try to change the pattern.try to solve some problems related to those subjects alternatively,it may improve matters.its natural.happens to everybody.do not worry.find ways and means of making u'r studys more interesting,i am sure there are ways.find them,do not give up.good luck

Exactly, that the reason. I am not totally interested on what I am reading, though I could learn from it. But I'm trying to understand myself, what are the factors that affects my studying habit. Thanks for the response! :)

Exactly, that's the reason. I am not really interested of what I am reading, though I could learn a lot form it. Every time I hold my materials, gosh! surely I will end up sleeping. lol Now, I figured out what are the things to do. Thank you so much!

well it could simply be because you are tired. if you are studying in the evenings, you will most likely fall asleep. try studying in the afternoons when you are wide awake. it could also be that you are bored, because i fall asleep all the time when im forced to read.

Yes, I feel so tired when I'm holding my notes and books. That's probably one of the reasons. I have tried studying in the afternoon but still I fall asleep. lol I don't understand myself. Maybe I need to drink coffee when I am studying. hehe

i agree with the two earlier responses.. maybe you should change your mindset towards studying - although it maybe a burden + something that has to be forced.. instead of thinking of studying of something you are being forced to do (for the exam) - try thinking of it of something that you want to know more about - like reading an article from your favourite magazine, or reading a gossip on a famous tabloid, etc..

maybe because studying is boring... just the thought of it makes you all exhausted and sleepy... that's probably the reason! :)

Hello Irglara, indeed its boring. Looking at my notes make me tired and reading it make me feel sleepy. What do you think is the best way to make my studying habit interesting? Actually, I am just studying when I need it badly. hehe

I don't think you are alone, do not worry. I know so many people who have felt the same way, including myself! I guess the main reason is because nobody really enjoys studying anything when they know they have to do it, and so naturally the body reacts by letting our minds drift away. Just make sure you take regular breaks

Hello Lean Rose, Don't worry friend, even i had the same problem in my college and school days and now that I've passed out of my University, I still can't get out of this problem completely. I guess it has to do with the state of mind when you sit down to study. If you think of studies as a burden, you might lose interest and then start feeling sleepy even after a few minutes.

I think that the best reason for falling asleep while studying is because studying is one of the most boring activities I can think of, right now. I used to fall asleep while studying too, and that was exactly the reason. I was bored out of my skull! LOL I wouldn't go back to school for anything.

We tend to fall asleep while studying, as while studying we do have a lots of mental exercise and we get tired.. Though only sitting and not working physically, but still we do alot of mental exercise, and our eyelids tends to get heavy,, Also, some people do not sit on table chair for study, they just lie down in bed , that also makes us sleepy, take intrest in what you are studying, and you won't feel sleepy...

One of the possible reasons is the environment in which you were reading. The lighting, the air that is circulating indoors and your health play important part. Another common reason is that you're simply bored with what you're reading, or the prints are so small that your eyes get tired easily. For me, since I'm not a bookworm, give me a book to read, and i'll just fall flat on my bed in a few minutes. Cool huh? :) So, there's nothing wrong with you. Just change your reading habit and the environment, and it should be ok.
