I have heard that first hour in the afternoon is the best time to study. But I don't know the reason.lol. It's just that, I love to sleep in that very hour. What is your opinion about it?

During my life as a nursing student, most people suggested that you should start studying at 4am dawn because your mind is so alert and you can easily recall the thing that you're studying. At first, you may feel sleepy. But what I usually do when I'm really sleepy is that I shake my head or slap my face hehehe or just drink coffee just to really wake myself. I tried studying during night time, I ended up sleeping and then nothing happened because I woke up just an hour before my class. Afternoon is also good. I love studying during those hours, but not after lunch.. I feel sleepy after lunch.

I study during night so that everything will absorb in my mind and I will refresh it on the morning. I feel sleepy in the afternoon so I don't prefer it is the right time. Anyway it depends on the person preferences.

Studying - a cartoon representation of a man studying.
well im not sure when is the best time to study, but the worst times to study are during the night hours. During the night you are generally tired and sleepy, exhausted from the day's activities. The mornings are probably bad too because you just woke up and your mind is not fully running yet. i think the first hour in the afternoon is a good time because your body is still relatively fresh and awake. There is plenty of light around you to keep you awake and alert goodluck studying =)

Hi rose, at the very few hours i spend reading (lols) are during afternoon. Much people say here that the best time is midnight. yes and no. its good as long as its the most silent time. no enviroment noises. no people no nothing. silent and chill time. but its really bad time if your time is not midnight. i mean you sleep early and wake up early. if your sleeping time is just not this way and you sleep for example 4-5 A.M. coz you still have energy to do anything and dont feel sleepy its good. in the other hand. afternoon is best because its in the middle of the day. few hours after lunch. sit and read. It is going to be easy to study as long as you dont have physical things to influence you like sleep or to eat something. unless you sleep at midday. Its more about your way. at the midday of the time you woken up and going to sleep. tip: they say chocolate really help studying coz make it easier or something. anyway maybe a commercial trick kept through hundreds of years :P

Personally, I like to study in the afternoon around 4pm as soon as I get back from school. Usually the information is still fresh in my mind during that time and I can just expand upon it.Also, when you are studying, you shouldn't be cramming in information that is completely new to you. If you find that you are, it's definitely a sign that you may not be engaged enough in class discussions or work.I usually have a problem focusing as well. The best solution to this is to go out to a public library or any other quiet place whenever it is most convenient to you (even if it means staying up a little later). I have friends that don't wake up until 2pm and do all their studying at around 3-4am! Obviously you need to work around your personal sleep schedule.I have found that working as soon as you get up though, even if it is at 2pm, can be very motivating and helpful. Just keep in mind that you probably have other more exciting things to do later on in the day :)

When I was a student, I found myself to be best to study just after midnite. That is the time when everything's suddenly so quiet and I am able to concentrate. I'll nap before that, and by midnite, I'll study. Guess there is where the saying goes "Burning the midnite oil". Afternoon is definitely out, the hot weather will only make you sleepy.

Helo rose. The best timing for study is the time, you feel interested in studying. My grand parents used to tell me that 4am in the morning is the time when the goddess of knowledge sits on your tongue. Its called brahmamuhurat in indian tradition. Many of my friends, who are toppers in their department,do study in the early morning hours. If you can do it,it will be great. All the very best.
