I was watching Mama’s Family the other day (I love that show) and I noticed that she always had nice tablecloths and fine china to set her table with. It got me to thinking. I’d love to have a nice big dining table with a nice set of china to use. Believe it or not, we don’t even have a kitchen table. We did but then when we moved here we didn’t get one. We usually have our meals at our desks, which are in our office and next to each other. I think I'm going to start working towards getting both a big table and a set of china.
Do you have a big dining table and a nice set of china? Is your china handed down or a set you bought? If you have fine china, do you keep it stored and only use it on holidays or do you use it at every meal? Do you let the kids use the good dishes or make them use the easy-to-replace dishes?

I have a nice set of china that I bought at a yardsale. It actualy almost looks like the one in your picture, except the cups are shapedd different.
I haven't had the heart to pull it out and use it yet lol.
I seen the completer set at a indoor used goods shop, but it's too expensive for me right now and I'm hoping I can get it soon.
We have a nice round kitchen table, but our kitchen is kind of small, so we don't eat at it very often.
I did get a nice set from my mom once, but it's still in Germany. I didn't dare to bring it with me, because I was afraid it might break. So my oldest sister is holding on to it for me.

I love to use my best china and the nicest tablecloths. Actually I use them at least during the weekends.
I don't have much space, and we are not able to use the table every day, because it includes having to move furniture around, but on weekends we make a point of using it alongside with the pretty china and everything else.
We decorate the platters and make the food look pretty. Ok so when I say we, it's mostly me, but to be honest everyone chips in.
I don't keep anything stored to use only in special days. If it's pretty for visitors it is pretty for us as well and we use it.
Everyone uses the good dishes because they are all the good dishes. I tend to buy either similar sets or sets that look good mixed so there is are no problems when we loose this or that due to use.
