Really I'm not. But amazed when I find something intriguing and gets me thinking that it provokes zero interest in others. I've heard a few fascinating facts about the military Junta in Greece which probably aren't in the history books but I've heard from local anecdotes. Little things they introduced which actually brought progress to peoples lives. They passed a law here which it had never occured to me anyone would need to pass a law about but it brought a huge change in a minor way. I started the topic under 'Toilets are a relatively new thing in some countries' as wondered if anyone else had even given any thought to something like this. Maybe I approached the topic in the wrong sort of introduction. Does this happen to you to, any thoughts?

distressful on my part if i had posted a topic and fond out that no one did care to respond to it but, taking it on a positive side, my topic may not be that interesting to them, especially, if the topic is based on a certain country or place which some of the members dont get interested to respond..for example, if my topic is about my country Philippines, some of the members here might not get interested especially those people that has no idea what my country look like etc..and maybe, our posts will be responded by many in time..maybe a day after tomorrow or a week after it..its just, different people has different perception on every topic we are posting, neither we should blame them if they dont understand us nor ourselves if we posted these topics..they might get interested to it once they are able to read and understand the whole topic..happy mylotting..

Quite agree stricken. Personally I find the topics about other peoples countries very interesting and like to hear their personal insight into their culture. But of course others will have completely different interests. I would not blame anyone for not responding just as I would hope that others would not expect me to respond to a subject of no interest to me.

we all do not think alike. what may be thought-provoking for you may be a boring topic to some. i am interested in fashion, are you interested in that too? some people may answer yes, some people will definitely answer no. and you are also right to point out that maybe we approach a topic the wrong way. i've seen quite a lot of discussions having the same exact topic but varying largely on the amount of responses because one person may have worded it in a better way than the other.
i've had several discussions without a single response which i initially thought were pretty interesting, too. but i guess i worded it wrong, or maybe i posted at a wrong time. or even maybe in a wrong category, who knows? but it's just like that. some get good responses. some don't. myLot is weird in that way.
good topic, though. VERY interesting.

Hi kayendanda, I agree, Mylot can be weird that way. Naturally we don't all think alike - in fact if I think about it the person who told me this piece of history is the only one who has, even though most of my friends are around the same age and would have been familiar with the fact. It makes me realise just carry on posting what you are interested in; after all if I posted something I wasn't in looking for high responses it would be an ardous task indeed reading and commenting on the responses. Thanks for your input.

Hi, friend. Many times it is not the case. That is even a quality discussion may not get many responses. This is due to the fact that different people have different ways of looking at topics and have different interests. Also, since there are numerous discussions raised every minute, the person who has interest in that topic may not even see it and the one not interested may have a look but opt not to answer.
So, keep raising quality content without worrying about responses.
Happy Mylotting!!

Hi back, friend,Thanks for pointing out it was a quality discussion even though it managed to have the word 'toilet' in it. If there are no responses it does not become a discussion. With so many people here representing so many differnt cultures I have noticed the questions which ask about other cultures hardly raise a response at all. But to me the idea that a military dictatorship should decree that everyone has the right to a toilet and provided funds to implement it was a new piece of history for me to learn about our area which I found very thought provoking.
