When do you put up your christmas decorations?

Usually my family and I start to put up our christmas decorations shortly after Thanksgiving. We don't wait because we love Christmas. We won't get our tree (we use a real one every year) until closer to Christmas Day though.

Christmas decoration starts at least a week before the Big Day and includes thorough washing, cleaning, scrubbing, polishing and ironing, the most tiresome of all chores. All these tips are carefully kept economical and kept to a do-it-yourself level. So, here are the tips: Check for the faulty bulbs in light strands beforehand. It will be wise to have a tester at hand so you can replace the bulbs easily as soon as they burn out. Angels are considered auspicious in home so add to the peace, tranquility, joy and harmony in your home by decorating your Christmas tree with angel ornaments and ordering an angel-shaped Christmas cake. Make an instant centerpiece for your Christmas dinner table by keeping luscious fruits including rosy red apples, sweet smelling oranges and a bunch of grapes in a clear glass bowl. Red Christmas stockings hanging on the window sill can have your name, your spouse's, kid's and pet's name in golden letters to make them look festive. Artificial wreaths and a magnetic wreath hanger last much longer. Holiday decorations with a personal touch are much more inviting then the store-bought fancy decorative items and made-at-home wreath, carefully trimmed Christmas tree and decorative light strands get most marks when done by hosts themselves. Don't forget to keep your camera ready along with films and batteries to capture some memorable moments.

I like putting them up Thanksgiving weekend! That way I can enjoy them longer. I have a friend that puts them up right after Halloween. I think that is smart too! I think it is too early before Halloween!

In Philippines, when the months start having ber, most people are preparing already to put up christmas decorations. But I prefer to do it when December 16 comes. I guess it is the right time to do it.

Usually on the 1st. of December.

I put mine up right around Thanksgiving and leave them up until News Year. Anytime before Thanksgiving is too early.
