Whom you rate the real king of Musical world? Is it Elvis or is it MJ? Though, both men represented different era but shared some common things and both came to fame from obscurity. Though Elvis made 31 movies to his credit. Elvis records sold over one billions copies worldwide. MJ had started singing at the age of 5 and shot to fame with his album Thriller which became the most commercially successful album of all time. Both of them died in their middle ages.Elvis died at the age of 42 in Grace Land and MJ at the age of 50 in Never Land. Both were found guilty of using drugs. Both men captured hearts of millions of fans across the world with their musical talent. But there is always a doubt in my mind that is who is the real king of the music? I could not be able to see one betters the other. I am little bit confused at this point. Any one can help me who is the real the king of rock 'n' roll or pop?

Although both of them are famous but I will vote for Michael Jackson. I think there are more people all over the world know Michael Jackson rather than Elvis. I think Michael Jackson has more great songs and his songs and dancing is unique. He has a great effect on today's music. I love China

First of all I thank you for your response. I think in your perspective MJ is more than Elvis. Please listen Elvis songs and watch his dance and costumes then you will probably understand why I raised this question.

I say Elvis is 'The King', and here is why. 1) He is the highest selling single artist worldwide (the beatles as a group have outsold him). Granted MJ has the highest selling album of all time, but when looking at their overall careers, Elvis has outsold MJ by quite a bit. 2) Not only is Elvis the highest selling single artist worldwide, he did it without the aid of Mtv, without the aid of the internet, and except for a handful of concerts in Canada, he had zero concerts outside of the United States. With all these things against him, he has STILL sold more albums than any other artist. 3) Everyone brings up how great a dancer MJ was. I won't disagree on this. But MJ had to do all these dance moves, and come up with new routines to keep people's attention, Elvis merely gave a quick shake of his hips. 4) Elvis created a scandal by the way he shaked his hips, parents disapproved of this. We all know the kind of scandals MJ was involved in. 5) I wasn't going to add this, but why not. You can go to Las Vegas and get married by Elvis impersonators. I don't think MJ is offering weddings there yet =)

Thanks for your response. I expected this kind of response to kindle lost memories of the Great King of Rock n Roll who dominated the world of music much before communication revolution burst world wide. He encompassed many genres like Rock and roll, gospel, country, Blues,Ballads and Pop with unusually wide success and was admired by his co workers and others for his extra ordinary talent. I once again thank you for the response.

Thank you for your response. You know Elvis had unusually wide success in encompassing many genres including Rock n Roll, gospel, blues, country, ballads and pop. So he has been inducted into four music halls of fame. That is why my this question still hangs in my mind.
