Why do most people tend to play online games and the like and get used to it..?

Why do most people tend to play online games and the like and get used to it until they are able to spend much money just to keep their characters on that game..
I myself is an online game lover, and i have spent much on my character, i simply enjoyed it and i am able to meet friends from different places, some of my friends their, they are able to find their special someone through it..
You, are you an online game fanatic..?if yes, then, why do you play it aside from it is costly..?thanks for those who will reply..

Hello there my friend..
I am an online game fanatic too, but I don't believe in paying to play. I make use of all the free applications available and there will always be newer free games for me to play once I'm stuck at a particular level.
Currently almost all Zynga games, I'm addicted to. And that includes Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars and whatnot. Now there are more and more games being created. I'm into the Wizard game types too. Cool...there will always be new games. Great moments when I'm skiving. Great discussion here..

wow, nice you are able to experience a free online gaming..i used to play RAN ONLINE (in the Philippines), and its costly..if you want your character to have the best item, then you should spend some of your money on it..hehe

Wow.. I didn't realize that gaming people could make money just whipping stuffs like that.. so did you purchase or anything? Hope you did not..?

yup, i used to purchase items for my character..haha, i think, my accumulated expenses on my character since the first time i played that game would be more or less 50,000(Philippine money), and i think, that was the least expenses a gamer could have spent, because the others have spent more than it even if their characters are only months old, unlike my character is 2 years old..haha

hello.
thank God i'm not an online gamer because it's too costly when you got addicted to it. but i think there's also a sad part part there for not even trying to play online games like, you missed the fun and excitement anf the thrill of the game, hahaha
anyway, your right, you can also meet new friends there.. ^^,
but on my opinion, i think the reason why some people become addicted to those games are:
aside from experiencing fun, thrill, excitement and gaining new friends,
building up a good character will boost their self-confidence;
and when they had a problem and they don't want to face it yet, then they will just play for some time or hours to forget what happened.

haha, you are right..having problems and thinking no one can help you, playing with your character on any online game will give you a relief..hehe

im not really into online gaming but i know some and they are really into it, and i see them enjoying it because of the adventure and the thrills that their characters offers to them it may be costly but i just think its worth it especially that they are happy looking at their characters and how much levels that they have....happy lotting
