I love these both. I'm also aware that both should be taken in moderation. Which is better? Which is more pro health? Are they just the same?

I definitely prefer tea. From what I hear it is better and I read alot about the antioxidant properties and cancer preventative properties of tea. So my vote is for Tea. See look here :-) http://www.the-tea-site.com/green_tea_benefits.php :-)

From what I read the coffee antioxidant research is still in it's early stages. And one important factor to remember is that not all antioxidants benefit humans and there health. It is for instance still not clear how beneficial coffee anti-oxidants actually are and what effects roasting coffee beans and mixing with other ingredients has on the effectiveness. It may turn out in future studies that coffee really is good for you but at the moment far more research has been done on Tea now and in the ancient world so I'm sticking with Tea :-)

Thank you for responding! I really appreciate the information you've shared. I hope I can spend some time one of this days to make a research on which has more benefits on our health. I think I should do the research at once to find out what should I drink more often. Happy Mylotting!

Yaeh. Coffee contains caffeine which can cause untoward effects to health. Good thing you prefer tea more than coffee. You didn't go wrong to your preference since tea has lots of benefits.

I absolutely love both (and their iced counterparts as well), but nothing beats a nice latte or cappuccino in the afternoon. Coffee, unfortunately, has more side effects than tea, and there's a limit to how much you should drink. Too much coffee and you'll be feeling extremely jittery and agitated. Overdoing it on caffeine is not fun. Fortunately, it takes a while to get to that point. :) Coffee is also fairly acidic and if drank on an empty stomach can cause problems. Most teas (especially the lighter varieties such as green and white) tend to be soothing on the digestive system. I guess if I had to choose, however, I'd still choose coffee.....

I admire you for loving these both. Only few people love the taste of tea. Some even hate the smell of it. Thanks for sharing about the effects of coffee to health. I really didn't some of the things you have mentioned. Now, I think I should drink less of it since I consider my self a heavy coffee drinker.

I prefer tea because coffee has so much cafein, and makes my teeth turn yellow. My mother always makes some sweet ice tea, and I drink it every day. I guess that I am getting used to with tea than coffee.

Like you i also love both, but i prefer tea than coffee.A glass of hot tea early in the morning is a must for me.I feel very bad with tea in the morning.Daily i drink two glass of tea ,one in the morning and one in the evening.I rarely drink coffee.I like to take coffee from the restaurant. The medicinal value of tea far better than coffee.Black tea is good for head ache and reliving tension.I think it is the simple drink preferred by people around the world.

Hi there! I think both are equally good. However, given the choice, I would go for coffee. I love coffee more than tea. Its aroma and taste is different from tea and it is more or less remains the same. However, if tea leaves are not of good quality and are not prepared properly, its taste could be less than likeable.

If I'd be given the choice too, I would not think twice to choose coffee. The taste of tea is really unpleasant to the taste. I'm trying to adapt on it, but I really couldn't. Until now, I'm still on the process of liking the taste of tea by drinking a little daily.

I think tea has more healthy benefits because of all the extracts in the leaves. Rather than coffee, that mostly has caffeine. I love both too but I'm gearing more to having coffee than tea. LOL!

Same here. I'm more into coffee than tea. I hate the taste of tea. I just hope I will learn to love it's taste because I'm trying to adapt to it by drinking at least every other day. I hope milk tea will be my favorite for it gives lots of benefits to the body. Happy Mylotting!

I really like coffee. In fact, I think I'm addicted to it. My doctor and my boyfriend said that it's not good for my goiter (bad trip). Well, what can I do, I work at night; that's the only energy booster I have. Otherwise, I will most likely be sleeping the whole time at work. Go go go for coffee... I love coffee.

I like them both, but I personally think tea is certainly better than coffee. Simply because tea has more varieties. Green tea, black tea (the common 'tea' we drink), blue tea, and the list goes on. It doesn't even have to be made of 'tea leaves' to be a 'tea'. There are teas made of just herbs, fruits, beans, etc. without a tea leaf. It can be used as a medicine as well.

Thanks for that informative response. You proved me once again that tea is really a wonder drink that can give a lot of health benefits. I think I should do better on my quest of liking the taste of tea.

Yeah. It's all about the taste of the tea. It is healthy but the taste is really unpleasant if you are not used to iy. I' trying to like its taste to have the benefits it has for health. For health's sake, I will patiently endure the "not so great" taste.
