Yes, I have had sweet tea and I love it. I do not drink it anymore b/c of my diabetes but it really is good and there are times when I miss it terribly. Maybe I will sneak and make me a jug today...it has been years since I had any.

Yes, sweet tea can be very addictive if you enjoy it. Maybe you could make it with less sugar and some splenda and it would be healthier for you.

Sweet tea seems to be a southern thing. I'd never heard of it until I moved to Florida. I didn't really like it, but if you ordered tea in a restaurant, that's what you got. The same if you were visiting someone. I wanted a cup of hot tea one cold day, but forgot to ask the right way, and was served iced sweet tea -- when it was nearly freezing outside! I don't know why southerners like so much sugar in their tea. Maybe they think it makes you cooler?

I suspect it is a southern thing. I was raised on sweet tea. I no longer drink it. Instead I order unsweet and add my own Sweet-N-Low because I don't want to comsume the sugar.
