CALLER ID'S and CALL WAITING

I think Caller ID's are the best thing that has ever been invented. This way, you can completely avoid those Marketing calls that keep coming in, and you can always know who called you, if you orginally missed their call. However, the down side are those who have a private number... there is no way of knowing who it is, therefore can never get a returned call. Call Waiting can also be a great feature, if you are waiting to get an important call, and someone else calls you in the meantime, however, I think Call-waiting can be abused when someone hangs up from you, to take a call that isn't that important. If I am on the other line, and someone calls me, I look to see who it is, and if it is someone that I need to talk to, I tell my present caller to hold on one second, go to the new caller, and tell them I will call them back. I treat my first caller with respect, and don't hang up from them because someone better has called me. The person I am presently speaking with deserves my full attention, and if it's not that important, my second caller can wait. What do you think?
