Do you find yourself addicted to this darn site, where you can sit here forever? I tell myself everynite, that I am going to go walking the next day, but guess what..it never happens! I wish I was more disciplined. I always come up with excuses why I need to wait for the next day. In the meantime, my leg muscles aren't going to be any good pretty soon. Please tell me something that is going to make me do the right thing and get me off my bumb, to get out and exercise...I need your help!

yes its very addictive to me also. i sit way to much. when you have arthritis they tell you to get some movement going to help. so, i do sometimes get up and walk around some in between responses.

He he he! addictive isn't it! Well seeing as I go to the gym four times a week and do a 2 hour work out I can honestly justify my extortionate amount of time I am on the computer sitting on my derierre! as it were. I think you need to reward yourself, promise yourself a biscuit or an extra hour on the computer if you get x amount of jobs done then you don't feel so guilty about spending time on the computer. Fortunately I am very disciplined hence the gym work and training and the fact that I don't socialize, I prefer to spend my nights in. Make yourself a list of jobs to do and you will feel a sense of achievement when you have crossed them off and then you can sit on the computer knowing that you have done what you have set out to do and have no qualms about spending quality time on this site! Incentives are the name of the game ;0)

I like the idea of making a list for myself.. I usually make a list for all the things I have to do on my computer, since I also do volunteer work for a private organization in my town; But that list doesn't do me any good in the 'derrierre' part. So, what I need to do is make a list of the things that have nothing to do with my computer....and put walking on that list. However, I can never go to bed earlier enough to walk in the morning...by the time I have my coffee, shower, make beds, and feed the darn cat, it's almost noon time...and if it's too hot in the afternoon, there is no way you will get me out there, and in the evening, because I've sat on my derrierre all day, I have no energy to go out. See, how easy it is to make excuses...lol...I told you I wasn't disciplined. And since we have been responding back and forth, I think it's about time we became friends, so we can benefit from each other...lol

It is true that the more you sit down the weaker your legs get...it also weakens your back. Eventually, sometimes without realizing it, you get to the point where it's painful to even stand up. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~
