usually if your honest with them, they are pretty cool, i have my son who at times just cant handle going to school, so i keep him at home and make him do his school work at home.. and i just tell them, sorry my son just couldnt handle the stress of it today ..

Probably the truth, assuming it's not bad and going to get you in trouble legally lol. If it was medical, say so, but some require a dr.'s note after a certain amount of time.
