Circuit simulation softwares

As an electronic student i am interested in knowing more about circuit simulation sofwares.Its a great way to check the circuits before we actually make it on board.but the fact is that i do not know much about open source circuit simulation softwares. Does anyone know any good sites to download such free software.Please help me.

Don't know about the free ones, sorry. but for payed ones i have suggestions! For eletric simulation i recommend multisim. And for eletronic i recommend proteus (there's a tool for board making, so cool). hope i helped! o/
