I often think that online chatters do have split personality one time or another. With those who chat without revealing their picture or perhaps their actually name, this would definitely. Some even chatted for years without even knowing the actual status of the other party. I guess online chatters are always ready to lie of being lied to. For the sake of online relationship, they just ignore those possibility. Any experience on this? Uncautiously or perhaps purposely hiding their trueselves.

Maybe. I onced had different identities over the not for some undisclosed reason. But not exactly split personalities. I just have many names and nicks. But I showed the real me in all of that names and nicks.

I generally do experience that the other party is more often than not lying. However I generally give the other party the benefit of the doubt for I feel that it would be unfair to treat said other party based on ways Ive been treated in the past. I myself personally give a reasonably amount of truth when chatting with others...pretty much whatever they want to know (except personal information like SSN or bank account or pin numbers or such) although I been told that once we (me and whomever Im chatting with at the time) meet in real life Im more quite than she imagined :p
