Oh my mamma lol. Yes i said oh my mamma. I found the greatest french toast that i have ever made in my whole life. I made it two weekends ago for my husband and he loved it then I amped it up a little and it became the best french toast in the world. Okay may be not in your world but in ours it did. Okay so here is how i made it. First i make my own whipped cream. I take heavy whipping cream and put it in a mixer at high speed until there are stiff peaks. While that is going i get everything else together. First you have to get your topping ready which in this case was Blackberry's and Strawberrys. So I made a simple syrup ( 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water heated until the sugar disolves) then I added 1/2 cup granulated sugar to the berry's and the simple syrup after its cooled. Then I made my egg bath for the french toast. Egg Bath: 3 eggs beaten 5 cups of milk and cinnamon as much as you want Then i get my other ingrediant out which is capton crunch ( i got this from food network show a diner that does this) i crunched up the crunch and put it in a bowl then i heated in a pan a ton of butter. Then i took what is known as French Toast Bread i slopped it in the egg bath and then coated it in the crunch and then i toasted it in the butter then put berry's on top and a dollop of whipped cream and may be add some protien to the meal by adding suasage and you have WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER. LOL Hope you all enjoy. Tell me what is your favorite breakfast that you have made?

Winner winner chicken dinner, where is that from?! It sounds familiar! LOL My husband loves french toast and I've never made it before. I might have to put this recipe away and try it sometime as a surprise for him!! He deserves to be treated every once in a while and this would probably be a great treat for a man who loves to eat! He eats the captain crunch off brand cereal too, so I would already have most of the ingredients handy! Perfect!

Yummy french toast you have made. Sometimes I will only have bread with jam or Kaya with a cup of hot tea for breakfast.Simple and easy to do also. During weekend, I will prepare some fried noodles for breakfast as I have more time on that day whereby husband is not working. Thanks for sharing the recipes..

my husband actually makes most of the meals at our house to but i was tired of him saying that i couldn't cook. Before we got married I made all the meals but now i work and he stays home with our 6 month old and so he does all the cooking during the week and on the weekend i cook him breakfast and show him that i can cook and that he better behave lol

hello stardustw83, Wow! sounds good and yummy to me. Makes my mouth water. Thanks a lot of sharing your recipe - french toast. Maybe I can try that so my family will enjoy too. I do cook like that too but with only egg and milk. Adding cinnamon and crunch in it will be better. More so with whipped cream and berry. Perfect for everyone.

Oh thanks for the recipe stardustw83, I will try this one time. Breakfast to my family means me preparing nasi goreng (fried rice) with spice ingredients great with some dried anchovies and tomatoes. Variation paired with nasi goreng would be salted egg with tomatoes and cucumber. Our breakfast are a bit heavy since my son will be going to school everyday and stayed over until 5pm doing some extra curricular sports at school. While we parents are having late lunch breaks due to some work overload, thus breakfast is a very important complete meal to us.

French toast was the first thing I ever made! I was only 7 and my mom was sick so I made some for her, naturally she freaked out, being a young boy with no supervision. I make it much simpler than you, I use 2 eggs , tablespoon milk, teaspoon sugar beat that with a fork fry it in bacon grease but I sprinkle one side with cinnamon, while the other is cooking! I find this suits me fine and is easy and pretty quick. The best breakfast I've made is sour dough pancakes with fresh raspberries mixed in the batter, sometimes I'll use cubed apples and cinnamon in the batter, they are awesome with bacon or Jimmy dean sausage! I kept a crock of sour dough starter in my kitchen for almost 2 years and mainly used it for pancake, waffles, pizza dough, and dumplings. I'd put chives in the dumplings! they got rave reviews! tdemex
