Balancing mylot with a full-time job......

Well I still remember few months back when my vacations were on and I had just joined mylot, I used to spend the maximum time here........and I was enjoying it so much......I liked doing the tasks, taking part in discussions, commenting, etc.....
But lately I took up a real job(full time) and now I cant really find time for mylotting, I just get about half an hour in the evening to do some quick reply and also check my mails....etc I am not really finding much time......its not that I cant earn from mylot.......but its the attachment of the mylotters and the discussions here that I will be missing......
How bout you friends, specially for those into a full time job, how do you manage to spend some time on mylot.......do you feel it gets difficult to manage time......
Although I do get time on weekends when its my day off........and probably that's the only time I am going to spend here......

I work part time and my time is limited for myLot. I try to go on each day even if it for just a little while. I miss very few days but also cannot put alot of time in each day. Some days more than others, like yourself on the weekends are a good time for me. This is the only ptp site I am on, but do have other online earnings that I pursue as well and have to give each one attention. Good discussion!

Oh yes, I have observed that usually during weekends mylot is bustling with activity, I mean there are lots of interesting discussions to answer and also many variety maybe because of the same reason like ours......thanks for your time !!!!

I don't have a job now and I don't even do a lot of mylot. But I do it anyway. I try to do at least 10 discussions and if I'm not too tired I do another 10. There was a time when I would respond to 50 or more discussions and it was grueling.

You have been here on mylot since quite a long time.....well even I was very enthusiastic when I had just joined mylot......but eventually it mellowed down......and I don't do that many responses, now with a job to do, it has become more difficult.......

Have I read another discussion about you getting a full time job? I've read so many discussions from so many different people with so many different subjects. Congratulations if I haven't already said it. Right now, I have a lot of time to spend on mylot but at the same time I don't. We're buying for our wedding, and in some ways still planning the little details out. We've bought quite a bit but still have a few more things to buy. Sometimes we don't get much time on here, from either shopping or just trying to read, watch t.v. or just generally stay away from the computer for some much needed or desired rest.
This site is a great site, and I hope you can find more time other then weekends to come on here, but hey I'm sure glad you've got a regular job now.

Oh yes training, the most stressful part! My fiance has a job interview in a few days and we're ecstatic. I pray that he gets the job.

I do it in my down time while I am watching TV. I can mylot and watch TV and I enjoy mylot as well so it is hard to give it up. I used to be addicted and stay here ten hours a day just reading and not even posting LOL! But I was being consumed and had to start doing other things.

Yeah, having a full time job will definitely affects your time here in my lot. I myself have a full time job as a Financial Analyst. But after which, I still have to go online because I do have an online job as a Notes Writer. So basically, my time here in my lot is already minimized. I haven't actually received any payouts from my lot, but I like dropping by for a minute here because the discussions here are awesome. I like to be part in the growing number of mylotters who participates and are sharing their ideas in various topics.

I find it difficult too. Sometimes I can do tasks while at work at lunch or while on a conference call. Sometimes I accept a task in the afternoon knowing I can write it after dinner. I do not respond much to posts.

i find it hard to find ample time here too since im more occupied with my works in the office. i just peep in here and post one to two and respond to 5 discussions. i wasn't able to get my third pay out since the cut of was done and i only got below 5 dollars.in the next pay out i'll try to have one.miss you really guys.

Oh yes I still remember, when I had joined mylot few months back i always used to see your discussions, but it is not that frequent now......I am approx $3 short for my payout.......and I wont be able to make it unless i get some writing tasks in few days !!!!

Congrats on getting the job! I too notice a difference when I'm working in how much time I can spend online. This summer I've had more time at MyLot because I'm taking some treatments and can't work as much. I work about 1 week out of every 3 weeks. We'll see what I manage to do once my treatments are over the end of August. Looking forward to that even if it does mean less MyLotting.

same here. i have a full-time job and i work on a pc all day. (all night in my case, because i work at night) what i do is, if i have idle time at work,or if it is my break time i take a peek at mylot and post or respond to a discussion. i do not perform any tasks though and uploading picture. not really sure if i could attach one.
i am enjoying mylot a lot :) because it sharpens my mind and increases my friends!

i always work with my pc. So, i can often take a look here & there as well as mylot. So, its pretty easy for me & for those who work with their pc. Goodluck for you also.

I am so happy to hear that you have a full-time job now. Mylot does take a lot of time. I don't work but I do stay pretty busy during the day. I do volunteer work and there's always errands to run and things to do around the house. I also have a horse and a dog to take care of. I also have music to practice at night. When I check my email, I get alerts from mylot letting me know when one of my mylot friends has started a discussion. That's when I respond to them. I manage to work mylot in some way. We understand if you have to work. Kathy.

Yes, by the grace of god I finally managed to get a job.......Its nice to see that you keep yourself occupied........and you end your day with music.......it really helps to rejuvenate your tiring day.........

Hi John...I know what you mean. I don't have a full time job and it still rushes me some days to spend very much time in here,but I don't want to loose contact with the friends I have made so I try to check in for at least an hour everyday and then alot on the weekends..
I am not a fast typer so it takes me a little while longer than alot of people to get my responses typed out, but I still get done what I can and I hope my fellow mylotters know that I am doing my best in responding to there discussions.

Coming to visit for 10 minutes is better than not at all.
I try to respond to between 25 and thirty discussions a day. I just wish I could think of some discussions to start.
Oh well one of these days I will get on a roll and will have so many discussions to start I won't have time to respond to any...LOL

I never encountered mylot during my work days.now, i am more of a mylot regular now. time management is hard here when you have work. your brain and body is tired that you have to rest first before you can think again. well, if you can't do it every day, don't force yourself to. let your mood sets you for mylotting.

Yes I know I better not, as sometimes it does get a bit taxing and I do work in office on computers......so again coming back home and sitting o computers does straining your eyes.......but sometimes its irresistible, I drop in and see if there are some good discussions where i can respond !!!!
