Hi All, Usually last thing on your mind while sleeping or hitting your head on pillow is Bedbug. These bugs survive visits from exterminator due to their ability to hide in bedding, clothes and dark spaces. Even though it has been proved that bed bugs do not transmit the diseases, Do you think they are harmful since they are really itchy.

I don't know how directly harmful bedbugs are, but indirectly, they can cause lack of sleep and general physical stress. As someone who suffers allergies that cause itchy skin, I know the quality of life diminishes under those circumstances.

I hate bed bugs, they're really annoying. Even if you have a clean house and new bed sheets you can still find them under your mattresses. They can hide anywhere from the wood to even iron bed skeleton. Though I think they are not harmful they still pose a threat if you have anemia because you can loose blood in the long run. happy day!

I have never experienced bedbugs before, the idea of having them in my bed though is terrifying since it is so hard to get rid of them. Since I travel a lot it is hard not to worry about bed bugs, they are even at the best hotels. There is no proof of them spreading diseases, but hey who knows, maybe over time they will be able to, since they are so widespread now maybe things will eventually show up, hopefully not. I saw a show on TV about them, and I forget the amount, but in one night bedbugs can take a significant amount of blood out of you, it was an amazing amount though, over time that cannot be very good for you...so in that aspect they can be harmful, perhaps harming people who have blood deficiencies like anemia.
