i get above 200kBps consistent... and a max of 240kBps
for both torrents as well as direct downloads...!

Considering your level of plan you are getting so nice speed, YOU LUCKY BEING !!!
yeah, its always nice to get what you paying for but probably i am not one of those.
I am using Internet Wireless datacard of Reliance Broadband+ and for this data card company claims speed up to 3.1 Mb/s but unfortunately i am getting same like you average of 40 to 50 Kb/s. And highest speed i remember is about 370 of 380 Kb/s .
But when i use Torrents it stays constant at the level between 90 and 110 Kb/s for direct download from the servers like Microsoft i get 150 to 180 Kb/s when i use sites like Megaupload, Rapidshare, Hotfile, Etc...then I get speed varied from 10 to 100 Kb/s in time duration between night 11 PM to morning 6AM.

Hey,
Well most of the time, my download speed actually ranges from about 300kbps-100kbps, depending on the site and things like that. Sometimes when it comes to torrents and other things, the maximum I get is about 350kbps depending on the seeders. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

my average download speed is 250kbps and my maximum download speed is 900kbps its really depend upon the websites were you download
